Obituary: Merle Frank Bostian 85, of 2306 Moose Road, Kannapolis died at CMC-NorthEast in Concord on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Mr. Bostian was born of June 18, 1926 in Rowan County, NC, the son of the late James Clarence Bostian and the late Sarah Poole Bostian. His service will be held at 3p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Gene Edwards. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral from 1:30-3p.m., before the service on Sunday.Mr. Bostian is survived by his wife, Clara Bare Bostian of the home; two sons, Dwain Bostian (Joyce) and Kenneth Bostian (Donna) all of Kannapolis and 2 grandchildren, Eric Bostian (Kelli) and Kendra Dennis (Jake) and also a great-granddaughter, Brooke Dennis.Memorials can be made to: COPD Foundation, 2937 SW 27th Avenue, Suite 302, Miami, FL 33133
