M.H. Ferguson

Obituary: M.H. Ferguson, 83, of Zion Church Road, Gold Hill, NC died Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Mr. Ferguson was born, July 3, 1930 in Cabarrus Co., NC, son of the late Ralph and Lula McQueen Ferguson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, a brother, Bill Ferguson and sisters, Joyce Fletcher and Birdie. Also, by his children, Lee Cress and Beverly Burton. A memorial service will take place at 7p.m., Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Gene Edwards. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 Thursday before the memorial service. Survivors include his brothers and sister; Clifford Ferguson, John Ed Ferguson and Evelyn McKinney; children; Wayne Cress and Debra Evans and grandchildren; John, Matthew, Heather, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Zack, Josh, Tessa and Devin. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; Braydon, Ayden, Jase and Arabella. Whitley's Funeral Home will be assisting the family of Mr. Ferguson.
