Michael Lee Atwell

Michael Lee Atwell, 54, of Kannapolis, passed away at home Friday evening, February 14, 2025.

Born September 16, 1970, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of Phyllis Ann Brock Atwell and the late Charles "Eddie" Atwell. A 1989 graduate of AL Brown, Michael continued his education, receiving his certification as an HVAC electrician.  Michael was a NASCAR fan, and enjoyed fishing, 4-wheeling and spending time with his friends. He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends and all who knew and loved him.

Family members left with fond memories, in addition to is mother, include his brother, Jeff Atwell (Donna); niece, Devin Lyall (Jeff Walker); nephews, Kable Lyall (Hailey), AJ Atwell (Christy) and Brook Atwell; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family members.

A memorial celebration of life will be held at a later date.
