Michael Scott Bishop

Michael Scott Bishop, 66, of Tampa, formerly of Rockwell, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
Michael was born on February 20, 1957 in Baltimore, MD. He grew up in Ellicott City and graduated Mount Hebron High School. He was the cherished son of Wallace Bishop and the late Emma Jean Helms Bishop. As an adult he moved to North Carolina to reside with his mother until her passing. After, he moved to Tampa to be with his sister.
In Tampa, Michael was an irreplaceable ambassador to the residents of his community at Sodalis Senior Living where he welcomed new residents with his warmth and friendship. His love of people and God was inspiring to all that met him. He continued to give after his death by donating his organs to give life to others.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Gil Schulz, Emmie Trexler, Kimberly Trexler, James Trexler and Gary Trexler.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 19, 2023 from 11:00 am -12:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. Followed by a graveside service at 1:00 pm at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
