Michael Eric Brown

Obituary: Rev. Michael Eric Brown, 58, formerly of Kokomo, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 7, 2017. Mike graduated from Asbury College, and then went on to receive his Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology. He married Ellen Hoover on September 12, 1981. He served as a Pastor in the Methodist Church for thirty years, serving churches in Ohio, Georgia, Indiana, Texas, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. He dedicated much of his life to ministry. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to read, loved people, and loved to sing. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Brown, children Paul, Mary Ellen (Scott), Elizabeth, Hannah (Mike) and five granddaughters. He also leaves behind his brother, Harry (Ollie) Sutton, sisters, Mary Lou Crume and Becky (Ed) Franklin and many nephews and nieces. There will be a memorial service to celebrate his life at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel at 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 conducted by Rev. David Hayes.
