Obituary: Michael Todd Caudill, 49 of Concord passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 following a lengthy illness. Michael was born on January 1, 1965 in Cabarrus County, a son of Bobby and Iris Thomas Caudill of Concord. Funeral services for Mr. Caudill will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Randy Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 PM on Saturday at the funeral home prior to services. He was a graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School and was formerly employed as an automotive and marine mechanic. Michael enjoyed collecting movies, and coca cola memorabilia. He will be remembered for his willingness to help others above himself and spending time with his grandson Chandler. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his daughter; Kristy Troxler and husband John, his grandson; Chandler Isaiah Almond, a brother; David Caudill and wife Jill of Concord, sisters; Wanda Caudill Hoffman of Concord, Lori Parker and husband Tommy of Concord, and Penny Stapf and husband Bobby of Salisbury, nieces; Megan and Jordan, and nephew Logan. The family suggest memorials be made to: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 205 Regency Executive Park Dr., Suite 102, Charlotte, NC 28217.
