Michael Felix Davis

Michael F. Davis, 72, of Kannapolis passed away from pancreatic cancer, Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House. He was born February 27th, 1951 in Cabarrus Co. to the late Glen Moses Davis and Lois Faye Shaver Davis.
Mike was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was well-known for shag dancing across North and South Carolina and was inducted to the Charlotte Area Shaggers Hall of Fame in 2021. He loved beach music, his dog, Jett, and App State football. His friends can tell stories for hours about shenanigans from his Winecoff and Northwest Cabarrus High School days.
Welcoming him with open arms in Heaven were his father and mother, older brother, Gary, sister-in-law, Joyce, and his sweet pup, Allie.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his girlfriend, Dale Dugan; two daughters, Ashley Torres of Kannapolis, and Stacy (Jared) Everett of Boone; four grandchildren - Madison Ferren along with Carter, Luke and Landon Everett; his brother, Steve (Anne) Davis of Matthews; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. He also was reminded in his last 6 weeks of just how many friends and neighbors loved and appreciated him.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 7th, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wes Judy officiating. Following the service, a reception for guests will be held from 6:00 PM -8:00 PM at The Blind Fox, 207 West Avenue, Kannapolis.
