Michael Hooks

Obituary: Michael "Mike" W. Hooks, 58, of Kannapolis passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at CMC-NorthEast. He was born October 2, 1958 in Cabarrus County, a son of Janice Carpenter Hooks and the late Kyle Wayne Hooks. Mike had worked at Areva and Duke Energy where he was an electrical designer for many years. He was a HotWheels enthusiast and loved drag racing. Mike was a volunteer with the Charlotte Cocker Rescue of North Carolina that he enjoyed working with. A service to celebrate Mike's life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Kirk Tutterow. The family will receive friends prior from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Whitley's. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, June Taylor Hooks, son, Jason Michael Hooks and wife, Danielle Lyn Hooks and two grandchildren, Madison Grace Hooks and Liam Thomas Hooks.
