Michael Wayne Litaker

Michael Wayne Litaker Retired Chief Warrant Officer US Navy, 82, of Kannapolis, passed away at The Meadows of Rockwell, September 20, 2024.

He was born in Cabarrus Co. to the late Lex James Litaker and Ruby G. Bostian Litaker.

Michael was a 1960 graduate of A.L. Brown High School, he served on the USS Power during the Cuban Missile Crisis, he received his BS degree in business at Memphis University.

Mike began his naval career as a sonar technician. He became interested in electronics in high school and trained well while serving in the Navy. Mike enjoyed the seas and the Mediterranean cruises he was assigned in the Navy. Michael was proud to serve his country in the US Navy.

Those left to cherish his memory, his wife Liliana Litaker, son, Michael David Shane Litaker of Toronto Ontario, grandson, Adam Litaker of Napa Valley, CA, brother, John Stephen Litaker and wife Kay of Kannapolis, sister, Janet Marie Litaker Chance and husband George of Kannapolis.

A private service will be held at a later date.
