Obituary: Mr. Earl Michael McCraven, 55, of Landis, passed away June 25, 2017. He was born February 8, 1962 in Cabarrus County a son of Edward Lee McCraven and Thelma Mullis McCraven. He was a heating and air technician, and enjoyed doing mechanical work. Michael loved to pitch horse shoes and spending time with friends and family. Michael was preceded in death by his father and a brother William David McCraven. Michael is survived by his daughter Hannah McCraven of China Grove, his mother Thelma Mullis McCraven of Landis, his brothers Charles McCraven and wife Susie of Landis, Wayne McCraven and wife Charity of Kannapolis, Walter McCraven and wife Deborah of Oakboro, Steven McCraven and wife Katherine of China Grove, his sister Jean Hilton and husband Jerry of China Grove, and one grandchild, along with a number of nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wayne Laney officiating.
