Michael Mcguinness

Obituary: Michael Anthony McGuinness, AKA Mike, Mick, Grouch, Gramps, died October 30, 2018. He was born in Northumberland, England, married Sheila (his school sweetheart) in 1971 and moved to the US in 1973. Mick leaves behind his wife, Sheila, his son, Lee and his wife, Talitha, and grandchildren Caelie, Ella, Liam, Landry, and Jade. He also leaves son-in-law, Scott, his sister Helen and brother-in-law, George who live in England. Mick worked as a service technician for General Electric from 1976 until his illness forced him to retire in 2011. He was grateful for the opportunity to work for GE and was well liked by his peers and customers. Mick loved America, his adopted country, and enjoyed his life hunting and fishing with life-long friends. He loved camping and boating, and instilled that same love of the outdoors in his children and grandchildren. Mick was preceded in death by daughter, Amanda (Mandy) and our hope is that they are together sharing a bear hug for which Mandy was known. The COPD which took his life was slow and debilitating. It was not kind to a man who was always busy and on the go, and had a heart for doing things for others.
