Michael Odom

Obituary: Michael Eugene Odom, 61 of Kannapolis died Monday, December 24, 2012 at his residence following a period of declining health. Michael was born on November 1, 1951 in Darlington County, SC a son of the late Allen Odom and the late Alma Hall Hess. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by five brothers; Richard, Stanley, Leon, Randy and Ronnie Odom and a sister; Connie Odom. A memorial service to celebrate Michael's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with Pastor Leon Hawks officiating. At other times the family will be at the residence of Brenda Odom. Michael was formerly employed at Parkdale Mills in Landis and had also been employed as a car carrier. He served in US Marine Corp and enjoyed fishing and being with his family. He is survived by a brother, Steve Odom and wife Brenda of Hartsville, SC., sisters; Dorothy Dixon and husband Don, Joyce Odom Darnell, and Crystal Hess all of Hartsville, SC., and several nieces and nephews.
