Michael Lee Wayne

Obituary: Davidson, NC Michael Lee Wayne, aka "Fluff", 68, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon, February 10, 2018 at his family farm surrounded by his family. Born July 15, 1949 in Ashe County, he was a son of the late Christopher Columbus Wayne and Bessie Lee Sturgill Wayne. Mr. Wayne was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved all of his family and loved his farm. He especially enjoyed riding his Gator. Mr. Wayne adored and was very proud of all of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family members left with cherished memories include his wife, Darlene Earnhardt Wayne; his children, Rhonda Mann and husband, Dale, Jeremy Wayne and wife, Kendraith; his step son, Aaron Goodman and wife, Kelly; his grandchildren, Jordan Rogers and husband PJ, Carson and Grant Wayne and Lea Shumaker; his first wife, Diann Hayer Wayne; brother, Tim Wayne and wife, Sandy, and his nephew, John Wayne. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 pm Monday, February 12, 2018, at Whitley's Funeral Home. Services to remember and celebrate the life of Mr. Wayne will begin at 2:00 Tuesday, February 13th at Shiloh United Methodist Church, conducted by Greg Hamilton and Jason Pierce, Ministers. Michael will lie in state from 1:00-2:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the Wayne family.
