Mildred Hooks Bradley

Obituary: Mrs. Mildred Hooks Bradley, 87 of Myrtle Beach, SC died at Novant-Rowan Regional Hospital in Salisbury, NC on November 20, 2013. Born May 31, 1926 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Mrs. Bradley was the daughter of the late James Clayton Hooks and Effie Newsome Hooks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Webster Elliott Bradley and was preceded in death by five brothers, J C, Cecil, Robert, Harold, and Boyd Hooks. Mrs. Bradley resided at Salisbury Gardens, Salisbury, NC for several years and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach, SC. She is survived by three sons, Terry Webster Bradley (wife Susan) of Landis, NC, Ronald Anthony Bradley (wife Sue) of Georgetown, SC and Jeffery Scott Bradley of Columbia, SC; Grandchildren, Terry Bradley, Jr. and Wife Traci of Gastonia, NC, Elliott Bradley of Queens, NY, Kristie Lewis of Charlotte, NC, and two great-grandchildren, Ally and Justin Bradley of Gastonia, NC. She has one surviving sibling-Betty Fortner of Kings Mountain, NC. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 23 at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from l-2 PM on Saturday, November 23 at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 24, 2013 in Southern Palms Memorial Gardens, North Myrtle Beach, SC. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Ronald Bradley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Meals on Wheels of Rowan County, 1918 West Innes St., Salisbury, NC 28144.
