Obituary: Mildred Marie Davis, 79, of Kannapolis passed away, Sunday, December 9, 2018 at her home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, Dec. 14 at Whitley's Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Earnhardt officiating, burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Thursday Dec 13 at Whitley's Funeral Home. She was born March 11, 1939 in Iredell Co. to the late Millard Hooper and Maggie Lunsford Hooper. Mildred retired from Value Village after 20 years, she also babysat for most of her grandchildren. She enjoyed many things in life; drawing, shopping, cows, her dogs, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Curtis, playing gospel music. She was full of life and left many fond memories, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be missed dearly. She was preceded in death by, her parents, two children at infancy, Pamela Dawn Davis and Terry Curtis Davis, three sisters Hazel Brotherton, Mary Hall, Louise Tate, and two brothers J.M. Hooper and Larry Hooper. Those left to cherish her memories, her husband Curtis B. Davis, daughters, Debra Teague (Ronnie), Jessie Blevins(Richard), grandchildren Elizabeth Teague, Jessica Rayfield, Sarah Teague, Holly Blevins, Nora Sullivan, Kelly Blevins, Jesse Blevins, Great grandchildren, Connor, Alex, and Cooper Rayfield, Kala Rice, Emma Lipscomb. Funniest thing she ever said. "I'm not going anywhere without my eyebrows."
