Mildred "Fooz" Goodwin Fleming

Obituary: Mildred C. (Fooz) Goodwin Fleming, 79 of Concord, went to be with her Lord, on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Avante of Concord. Her death follows a period of declining health. Mrs. Fleming was born on March 20, 1934 in Rowan County, a daughter of the late J.B. and Addie Bell Cox Goodwin. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by 4 brother and a sister. Funeral services for Mrs. Fleming will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Rev. Randy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the services from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by a daughter; Betty C. Campbell (Tommy) of Kannapolis, sons; James R. Goodman, Tommy R. Fleming, and Allen Wayne Fleming all of Kannapolis and Michael L. Fleming of Rockwell, brother; James A. Goodwin (Shelia) and a sister; Brenda Morgan (Leo) both of Kannapolis, 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Service: 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 2, 2014 Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: West Lawn Memorial Park.
