Obituary: Concord - Mildred A. Mobley, 88, of 378 Cliffwood St., Concord died at CMC-NorthEast on Wednesday, May 27, 2009. She was born on March 16, 1921 in Union County, the daughter of the late Edward Aycoth and the late Julie Masser Aycoth. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jake Mobley who died in 1980 and a daughter, Joyce Hooper and two grandchildren, Danny Paxton, Jr. and David Hooper. Mrs. Mobley was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of River of Life Worship Center in Concord, NC. She retired from Cannon Mills Co., where she worked in the #1 weaver room of plant #1. Mrs. Mobley is survived by a daughter, Deborah Paxton of Concord, two brothers, Jimmy Johnson of Landis, NC and Larry Johnson of Kannapolis. She also is survived by 4 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 sisters and 1 brother. The funeral service for Mrs. Mobley will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at River of Life Family Worship Center conducted by Rev. Brian Rabon and the Rev. Ben Creed. The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 11:00a.m., Saturday, at the church before the service. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
