Mildred Ise Love (Lou) Morton

Obituary: Mildred Louise (Lou) Love Morton went to be with her Lord on Monday, October 31, 2011 at her home.She was the daughter of the late John D. Love and Nannie Linker Love. She lived most of her life in Kannapolis. She was a 1942 graduate of J.W. Cannon High School. Mildred was employed with the former Montgomery Ward Company, Kannapolis, NC for many years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC where she participated in the Grace Mission Team. Mildred was a former member of Landis Baptist Church, Landis, NC where she served as a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir, and a member of the Lois Rutledge Circle.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. (Tommy) Morton who died December 28, 1999; a sister, Helen Dwiggins; and a brother, Floyd Love. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Central Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Curtis Parker. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church prior to the service.Survivors include her son, Ronnie E. Morton, Sr. & wife, Nancy of Mooresville, NC; one grandson, Ronnie E. (Eddie) Morton, Jr. & wife, Sarah of Kannapolis, NCMemorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 1810 Moose Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church prior to the service.

Service: The funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Central Baptist Church.

Interment: A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Carolina Memorial Park.
