Mildred Lee Moss Pless

Obituary: Mildred Lee Moss Pless, 87, of 608 Dixon Ave., Kannapolis died at her residence on September 21, 2011.She was born on August 25, 1924 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Lillie Moss Fink. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Council Lee Pless.Mrs. Pless was a lifelong resident of this area. She retired in 1978 as a hemmer with the former Cannon Mills Company. She was a member of Enochville Church of God.Survivors include her sons, Gary Pless and Johnny Dale Pless both of Kannapolis and her daughter, Nancy P. Keener also of Kannapolis and by a foster son, Clyde "Butch" Williams of Kannapolis. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.The funeral for Mrs. Pless will be held at 2:00 on Friday, September 23rd at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. David Shoemake. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Thursday at Whitley's Funeral Home.
