Mrs. Norris Raye Brigman

Obituary: Norris Ola Raye Brigman, 78, of Kannapolis went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, November 9, 2014 after a period of declining health. Norris was born July 21, 1936 in Wingate, NC, a daughter of the late Edward LeRoy Raye and Zeda Kennedy Raye. She was a lifelong area resident and graduate of A. L. Brown High School and retired from Cannon Mills #6 weave room after 43 ½ years of service. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, November 13 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike McGee officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. Norris is survived by her husband, James Brigman. Those also left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Tina Brigman (Craig Driskill) and her son, Tony Brigman, 4 grandchildren; Luke Upright (Danielle), Sean Upright (Denique), Kelsey Brigman (Bryan Long) and Kendyl Brigman, and 2 great-grandchildren, Bo and Jaxson Upright. Above and beyond all, she loved God, her Lord and Savior. She was our angel and the anchor to our family.
