Myrtle (Long) Combs Bostic

Myrtle Long Combs Bostic, 98, of Concord passed away March 19, 2023. She was born September 23, 1924 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late Wilbern and Bessie Earnhardt Long. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Combs, two brothers, Hayden and James Long and her sister, Kathleen Ritch.

Myrtle retired from Cannon Mills in 1986 where she worked many years at Plant 1 #1 Weave Room. She was a member of New Gilead Reformed Church ECO where she was active in her earlier years. She was a 1942 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. Myrtle was ana avid gardener.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Carolina Memorial Park.

Myrtle is survived by her sons, Vaughn Combs and Richard Combs, grandchildren, Brett Combs, Jordan Combs, Abby Combs, great grandchildren, Britni Combs Ainsworth (Colt), Chad Wesley Combs, Emma and Adysen Combs, great- great grandchildren, Carolina, Stetson and Hadlee Ainsworth.
