Myrtle Mae (Williams) Lowder

Myrtle Mae Williams Lowder, 92, of China Grove passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Tucker Hospice House. She was born November 23, 1928 in Jetersville, Virginia, a daughter of the late George Bryant Williams and Annie Edwards Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Lowder, sisters, Mildred Overcash and Josie “Tot” Young and brother,  Pete “Ebo” Dalton.

Myrtle had previously worked at various textiles mills in the area. She loved going yard selling with her sister Tot. Myrtle was a faithful caregiver to her two disabled daughters.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Carolina Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Bruce Rabon. Myrtle will lie in state at Whitley’s Funeral Home from 8:30 to 10:30 AM Thursday if anyone would like to view.

Myrtle is survived  by two daughters, Sherrie Lowder, Donna Ritchie, granddaughter, Angela Isenhour (Dennis), great grandchildren, Cameron and Kaleb Isenhour and brother Sonny Williams.  Also, the many children that Myrtle helped raise and take care of that she treated as her own.

Myrtle’s family would like to thank everyone including family, friends and caregivers that have helped Myrtle and her family during her illness.
