Nai Yang, 86, of Albemarle, went into eternal rest on Saturday, February 29, 2020.

Nai was born in Xieng, Khouans Laos on June 15, 1933 to the late Choua Pao Yang and Youa Xiong.

Nai moved from Laos to North Carolina with her family in 1989. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. She was an active member of Albemarle Hmong Alliance Church. She had a compassionate heart to help others and was always someone people could talk to. She will always be remembered for her kindness and positive attitude. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband,  Nhia Tue Vang; and sons, Tong Choa Vang and Ger Vang.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three daughters, Mai Chai Vang and husband, Leng Chang, Mor Vang and husband Neng Yang, and Ai Vang and husband, Vang Neng Chang; 21 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m at Whitley’s Funeral Home Annex, followed by Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. noon, in the Annex building. Burial will immediately follow the services Saturday at Carolina Memorial Park.
