Nancy Bennett

Obituary: Nancy Orfield Bennett, 83, of Kannapolis passed away on Tuesday , April 25, 2017 at the Tucker Hospice House. Nancy was born July 28, 1933 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late Henry Preston Orfield and Mae Troutman Orfield. Nancy had formerly worked at the LIFE Center, Inc. of Concord for many years and was a former owner of Cabarrus Printing in Kannapolis with her husband and son. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior at Whitley's. Nancy is survived by her husband, Lewis Bennett, son, Lewis Craig Bennett, daughters, Jill Reinheardt, Joy Gainey, grandchildren, Shania Thompson, Brittany Stone, Cameron and Chase Gainey, great grandchildren, Justen, Jaykob, Samantha and Jayden. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Hospice of Cabarrus County for the love and care shown Nancy and her family.
