Obituary: Nancy Jane Dorton Nancy Jane Dorton, 68, passed away at CMC-NorthEast on Thursday, September 12, 2013. Nancy was born on January 15, 1945 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of Grady Lee and Jessie Belle Barbee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Springs Dorton and her daughter, Cynthia Elaine Dorton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, Sept. 14th at Trinity Lutheran Church, Concord officiated by Rev. Cramer Kilpatrick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 prior in the church fellowship hall. She is survived by her children, Penny Carawan, Jeffery Dorton and Scott Dorton, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
