Nancy Brandon Featherstone

Obituary: - Nancy Brandon Featherstone (Belle), 93, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC. She was born July 3, 1921 in York County, SC, the daughter of the late Ernest Neil Brandon and Nannie Quinn Brandon. Nancy was employed with the former Cannon Mills Company, Plant One, where she was a cloth inspector in #7 Cloth Room where she had worked for many years until her retirement. She was an active member of Brookdale Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC where she was active with the senior citizens group. Her family fondly remembers her love of flowers and her cooking preparing meals for family on Sundays. She also enjoyed making trips with the senior citizens at her church from time to time and had served as their secretary for many years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, George P. Featherstone, Jr. who died December 20, 1986; seven brothers; and four sisters. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, August 4, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Tommy Poarch. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include her son, George P. Featherstone, III & wife, Alice of Kannapolis, NC; two daughters, Andrea Drake & husband, Jerry of Midland, NC and Patricia Bettis & husband, Bobby of China Grove, NC; seven grandchildren, Paul Drake, Jill Trull & husband, Fred; Brandon Bettis & wife, Cory; Brett Bettis & fiancée, Lauren Helms , Blake Bettis, Bryan Bettis, and Bradley Bettis; seven great-grandchildren, Cody Drake, Ashley Smith, Casey Drake, Stephanie Trull, Kelly Drake, Austin TRull, and Jaylan Drake; five great-great-grandchildren, Anthony Drake, Mason Walden, Logan Schrimpsher, Zee Drake, and Emery Smith.
