Nancy Jane Myers Konyha

Obituary: Kannapolis, NC., Nancy Jane Myers Konyha, 71 formerly of Kannapolis died Friday March 11, 2011 at Universal Health Care in Concord, following an extended illness. Ms. Konyha was born April 4, 1939 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Daniel Thomkins Myers and Della Mae Elizabeth Peeler Myers. She received her degree from Cabarrus Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse having worked at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital and several hospitals in Ohio. She was a member of Jackson Park United Methodist Church. She loved gardening, making hats, and enjoyed reading and writing. Nancy was an ardent bird lover and was known to her friends as "Bird", "Birdie", and "Baby Bird." She was loved very much by friends and family and will be sadly missed. She is survived by three daughters; Kathy (Brandon) Summers of North Kingsville, Ohio, Julie Konyha of Los Angeles, California, and Karen Konyha of Las Vegas, Nevada, a son; Louis (Rochelle) Konyha of Rancho Santa Margarita, California, a brother; Jerry Myers of Jacksonville, Fla., 3 grandchildren; Gwendolyn and Brice Summers, and Grant Konyha.
