Nancy Bell Leigh

Obituary: Nancy Bell Leigh, age 73, of Rockwell she went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at her residence surrounded by family. Nancy was born May 8, 1944 in Cabarrus County the daughter of the late Albert Bell and Mae Milem Bell. She attended Winecoff School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and her cats. Preceding her in death was her granddaughter Britney Thompson; sisters Betty Shoe and Carol Furr. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Jimmy Leigh whom she married August 18, 1961; children Jeff Leigh (Pam) of Kannapolis, Barry Leigh (Angela) of Kannapolis and Tamara Saj of Rockwell; grandchildren Jennifer Crisco of the home and Tiffani Cook (Justin) of Kannapolis; sister Helen Hooper of Kannapolis. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM Monday, December 4, 2017 at Whitley's funeral home. Service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Gary Posey with burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
