Nancy Jenkins Wike

b. December 15, 1932

Obituary: Nancy Wike went to be with the lord and many beloved family members on July 14, 2017 at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House. Nancy was born on December 15, 1932 in Corona, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Wike, granddaughter Bobbie Maxwell Stephens and her parents, Ray and Angie Kelsay. Nancy leaves behind her daughter, Carol (George) Maxwell, Concord, NC and son Michael (Brenda) Wike, West Lake Village, California. She had a special place in her heart for her grandson David (Crystal) Maxwell. David was there for her anytime she needed help and loved taking her side against his mother Carol. She dearly loved her "baby boy"! She also leaves behind granddaughter Virginia (Mike) Cruse and great-grandson Jacob. Great grand-children who were always there to try and make Grandma Nancy behave - Bailey Maxwell, Jamie Higgins and Cecilia Higgins. It would make her so mad when they would "tell on her"! Her soft spot was great-grandson George Higgins. He was her partner in crime when it came to eating lots of sweets and always provided a good excuse for a reason to buy the sweets. She also loved and sorely missed her grandson Max Wike who lives in California. She so enjoyed their phone conversations. Max's regular phone calls meant the world to her and it upset her so much when she couldn't travel to see him anymore. In addition, she leaves behind her brother, Wesley Self (Angela). She had such a deep love for Wes and Angela. She also leaves behind her very best friend who was not really a friend. She was a sister - Barbara Bullock. They so loved each other! She also leaves behind a very special sister-in-law, Kay Morris, (Tom) and a brother-in-law, Dickie Brown. Last is her special dog - Sugar. Sugar was her company after her husband David passed and Sugar was treated better than royalty!! The family is extremely grateful that Miss Barbara also loves Sugar and wanted to have Sugar as her own!!! The family appreciates your understanding about their need to have a private service at the gravesite. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Midland Chapter 260, Order of the Eastern Star. These should be sent to Polly Knight, 2020 Makin Drive, Indian Trail, NC 28079.
