Nancy "Buffy" Correna (Lunsford) Buffington

Nancy Lunsford "Buffy" Buffington, 87, of Troy, passed away, Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at her home.
She was born in Cabarrus Co. to the late Marcus Woodrow Lunsford and Ruby Lee McLain Murphy.
Nancy was a CNA for many years, she enjoyed taking care of people in need and was always volunteering to give her time and singing talent to help anyway she could, she would go to Nashville and raise money doing Karaoke events, Nancy loved singing gospel music, she never meet a stranger and was full of life and love, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by grandsons, Christopher Yow, Joseph Mark, and Jimmy Yow.
Those left to cherish her memory, five children; James Norris Jr. (Virginia), Jerry Norris, Debbie Roberts, Peggy Honeycutt (David), Tammie Norris, 10 grandchildren, 14 Great grandchildren, and one Great-great grandchild.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 1, 2023 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Brown officiating, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home.
