Naomi Elizabeth (Johnson) Bailey

Naomi Elizabeth Bailey, 90 years old, of Salisbury, formerly of Kannapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 24, 2023.  Naomi was born on October 30, 1932, in Cabarrus County to the late Howard and Cleo Lapish Johnson.

Naomi was a Christian woman who loves her Lord.  In her younger years, she was very involved in her late husband’s ministry, where she loved to play the organ and sing at church and teach Sunday School. Naomi loved to cook, grow flowers in her garden, and go to the mountains, but especially loved the mountains in the fall.

Naomi was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Raymond Bailey in 2012 and her son Michael Bailey in 2019. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sherry Kennerly and her husband Rick; her son, Keith Bailey and his wife Kim; her grandchildren, Nicholas Bailey and his wife Hannah, Logan Bailey, Kyle Bailey and his wife Ariel, Jamie Feehan and her husband Shawn, Rodney Kennerly and his wife Anna, Mikayla Bailey, Tara Allen and her husband Brandon and Jennifer Joyner and her husband Ryan; her great grandchildren, Devin and Skylar Bailey, Haylee Feehan, Paige Feehan, Jasmin Kennerly, Bella Grace Kennerly and Eli Kennerly and Evelyn Joyner and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  A 1pm graveside service will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove officiated by Rev. Virgil Ashby. Family is requesting that family and guest dress casually.
