Navonia Lee Roberts Dixon

Obituary: Navonia Lee Roberts Dixon, 80, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Tucker Hospice House. She was born August 13, 1933 in Davidson County, the daughter of Willie Wyatt Roberts Graybeal of Kannapolis and the late Seldon Graybeal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Junior Dixon. She retired from Cannon Mills. She then started a baking business making and selling breads and baked goods to businesses in the area for many years. She was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She also liked to fish. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Randy Tucker. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday, April 7, 2014 at Whitley's. At other times, they will be at her mother's home, 709 Deaton Street, Kannapolis, NC. She is survived by three children; Darrell Broome, Tamara Bresett, Crystal Aubrey, 5 step children; Dennis Dixon, Ricky Dixon, Betty Jean Corriher, Shelia Waller, Wayne Dixon, 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and her brother, Jim Roberts. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church, 230 Chasity Lane, China Grove, NC 28023.

Service: 1:00 PM, Tuesday April 8, 2014 Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
