Obituary: Mr. Coite Neil Clodfelter,80,of Kannapolis ,died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. He was born November 1, 1932 in Iredell County, son of the late Coite and Jessie Clodfelter. Mr. Clodfelter was employed by Cannon Mills, retiring in 1994 with 50 years of service. He was of the Methodist faith. He had served in the US Army Rangers as a TSgt. during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Martha Smith Clodfelter of the home, one sister, Floranne (Don) McDaniel of Kannapolis, and one brother, Carrol (Carolyn) Clodfelter of Wilmington. Nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Oakwood Cemetery, Concord conducted by Rev. Kristy Burnette. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 P.M. Thursday at Whitley's Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers or food memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
