Obituary: Neil Alan Spink, 67, passed peacefully from this world on March 31, 2017 at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC after enduring a long struggle with health related challenges. No formal calling hours will be scheduled. Private graveside services will be held West Concord Cemetery. Neil was born in Rome NY on May 24, 1949 to the late Wilma Ryan Spink and Earl Spink. He was predeceased by his older brother David Spink. Neil graduated from Morrisville State College and Rochester Institute of Technology and spent his career working in the Health and Hospital Accounting Profession retiring from Syracuse Community Health Center in 2009 and moving to North Carolina to be near his family who had already relocated here. Neil loved spending time with his family and also camping and enjoying the beach when his health allowed. The happiest four days of his life were the days his children and grandchildren were born. He will be missed by many who loved him, and especially missed will be his unique sense of humor. He is survived by his son Christopher Spink of Kannapolis and his daughter Lisa Aghjdam and his granddaughters Hanna and Sophia all of Concord. He is also survived by sisters Nancy Carrier and Linda Smith and a brother Walter Spink all of Rome, NY and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his two canine companions, Chloe and Whitey.
