Nellie Sue (Shumate) White

Nellie S. White, 88, of Concord passed away April 23, 2021 at her home.
She was born July 2, 1932 in Wilkes Co. to the late Iva L. Shumate and Ella Harold Shumate.
Nellie was a homemaker, she enjoyed Hershey Kisses, Reece's, ice cream and TV, most of all she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband David "Jack" Hall White, infant son David Scott, sister Judy Shockley, brother Buddy Shumate.
Those left to cherish her memory are sons Randy White of Mooresville, David White (Donna) of Gastonia, six grandchildren, Brandon White (Jessica) of Gastonia, Brittany Duckworth (Nick) of Mt. Holly, Victoria White of Gastonia, Steven White (Chelsi) of Belmont, John White and family of Statesville, Misty Carter and family of Mt. Ulla, 10 great grandchildren; Lydia, Gavin, Blakely, Rowan, Ava, Griffin, Koa, Skyler, Sara, Elizabeth, a brother Ted Shumate (Sandy) of TX, a sister in law Therese Shumate.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday April 30, 2021 at Carolina Memorial Park 601 Mt. Olivet Rd. Kannapolis, NC 28083, with Rev. Eddie McGinnis officiating.
A visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 PM Thursday April 29, at First Baptist Church, 400 West 1st Street, Lowell, NC 28098.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church (Handicap Ramp Project) 400 West 1st Street, Lowell, NC 28098.
