Neva Troutman Hollopeter

Obituary: Neva Troutman Hollopeter, 78, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House. Born July 9, 1938 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Connie Louise Yost Troutman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Hollopeter. Neva had worked for Cannon Mills, Carolina Memorial Park, and later ABEX. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, painting and spending time with family. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she loved all of her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Family members left with cherished memories include her daughter Jackie Benfield (Jeff) of Landis; her son Jeff Russell (Libby) of Kannapolis; grandchildren Jeffery Russell, Ashley Berry (Matt), Lynn Russell, Shane Benfield (Sara) and Keith Benfield (Melissa), and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, June 26th from 11:30-12:30 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate Mrs. Hollopeter's life will begin at 12:30 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Carolina Memorial Park, services conducted by Rev. Shane Utley.
