Nina Allen

Obituary: - Nina McClellan Allen, age 93, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Best of Care Assisted Living, Kannapolis, NC after a period of declining health. She was born January 9, 1921 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late J.R. McClellan and Julia Untz McClellan. Nina was a homemaker throughout her life. She was thought of by her family as a lady that loved being with various family members and spending quality time with a wide number of friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Hal Thomas Allen who died May 5, 2006; and six siblings. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends at the graveside after the service. Survivors include her son, Ray T. Allen & wife, Mary of Oxford, NC; one grandson, Brian T. Allen & wife, Jennifer of Oxford, NC; a great-grandson, Zayne T. Allen; one brother, Joe McClellan & wife, Kathy of Landrum, SC; and one sister, Ellen Barber of Charleston, SC.
