Obituary: Mrs. Nita Joan Petrea Trexler, 78, of 1125 N. Enochville Ave China Grove, NC died May 2, 2009 at the Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. She was born May 2, 1931 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Clarence and Katie Beaver Petrea. Her memorial service will be 6:00 PM Thursday May 7, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel officiated by Rev. Jeff Upright. The family will receive friends after the service. She is survived by her husband Carl Ray Trexler, her son Tony Trexler of Kannapolis, her daughter Starr Lynn Newsome of Kannapolis, 2 brothers Clarence Lane Petrea of Kannapolis and Elvon "Chunk" Petrea of Concord , a sister Maxine Cook of Texas, 2 grandchildren Amanda Griffin of Mocksville and Eric Newsome of Florida, 4 greatgrandchildren Kinsley Griffin, Eric Newsome Jr., Brandon Newsome and Andrianna Newsome.
