Nola Nichols Trammell Wise

Obituary: Nola Nichols Trammell Wise, 88, of Caremoor Retirement Center in Kannapolis, NC died Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Mrs. Wise was born on Nov. 26, 1922 in Johnston Co., NC the daughter of the late Benjamin F. Nichols and the late Minnie Sellers Nichols.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Joe Trammell & Joe Newsome and sisters, Elsie Mann & Varnita Lamm. Mrs. Wise was a graduate of Cannon High School and was a member of Kannapolis Church of God.She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Wise; son, Fred S. Trammell & wife, Brenda; grandson, Mark Trammell; granddaughter, Amy Trammell Greer & husband, Jeff; great grandchildren, Amanda & Kristin Trammell and Jonathan & Justin Greer.Also, by sister, Mary Inez Kepley and brother, Stephen Franklin Nichols.She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral for Mrs. Wise will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Barbara Watkins.Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30-2:00 before the service.At other times they will be at the home of the son, Fred Trammell at 2234 Kenwood Dr.Kannapolis. The family would like to thank all the staff at Caremoor Retirement Center for the love and care given to Mrs. Wise for the last four years.
