Opal Sheets Bradley

Obituary: Opal Sheets Bradley, 84, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 in Denham Springs, LA. Ms. Bradley was formerly of Kannapolis. She was born on November 20, 1927 in Wilkes County, NC a daughter of the late Carson and Thelma Sheets. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Bradley who died April 26, 2000. Ms. Bradley formerly resided in Rockford,IL where she was a Tupperware sales representative for 28 years and moved back to the Kannapolis area to retire with her husband in 1987. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Kannapolis and recently moved to Denham Springs to be near her daughter. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at First Wesleyan Church with Rev. James Matchette and Rev. Forbis Kivett officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the services at the church on Monday. She is survived by two daughters, Susan Bradley Ballard (Danny) of Denham Springs, LA., and Mary Bradley Carpenter of Muskogee,OK., five grandchildren, Eric and Aaron Morton, Brookelyn Carpenter, Mishaux Ramirez, and Chantelle Varnado, six great grandchildren, Braden, Mason, Addison, Sophie, Reed, and Bentley, a sister, Cleo Adcock of Kannapolis, and a brother, James Sheets (Ethel) of Kannapolis.
