Ora Inez (Johnson) Hobson

Ora Inez Johnson Hobson, 77, of Kannapolis passed away on January 29, 2022. She was born September 9, 1944 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Robert Lee Johnson, Sr. and Margie Christy Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hobson, Sr. and a daughter, Rose Marie Burgess .

Ora had worked at various place through the years but her last job was for the NC Dept. of Transportation. She loved traveling to Cherokee and she loved taking care of her animals.  She was a member of Holy Power Church in Rockwell.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Revs. Bill Cutshaw and Randy Lefler. Her family will receive friends prior from 5 to 6 PM.

Ora is survived by children, Dorothy Jamison, Paul “Junior” Burgess, James Hobson, Jr., Robert Hobson, sisters, Sally Salamanchuk, Dianne Goodman, brother, Pete Johnson, 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
