Oscar Daniel Bost, Jr.

Oscar Daniel Bost, Jr. 69 of China Grove passed away on Monday September 9, 2024 at Transitional Health Service of Kannapolis.

Oscar was born on February 22, 1955 in Cabarrus County to the late Oscar Daniel Bost, Sr. and the late Alma Wood Bost.

Oscar worked as a supervisor in the Public Service Department.  He was an avid gun collector, and loved watching NASCAR and Motocross racing.

In addition to his parents Oscar was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Delores “Dee” Bost, and his two sisters, Melanie Wells and Jennie Brumley.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother; Brian Bost, sister; Beth Wilkerson, brother- in law; Wayne Brumley and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Thursday September 12, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd.  Kannapolis, NC  28083.  With the graveside service at 2:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Park, 601 Mt Olivet Road, Concord, NC with the Rev. Mitch Thomas officiating.

The family ask for memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave. #100, Charlotte, NC  28207.
