Otis Raymond Tewksbury Jr, also known as Rodeo Ray from Tampa Bay, passed away on November 18, 2023, at the age of 76 in Kannapolis, NC. He was born on December 31, 1946, in Boise, Idaho. Ray, a beloved husband, brother, son, father, stepfather, club brother, and friend, is survived by his loving wife, Kari Sioux (Spicer) Tewksbury, his Brother John Tewksbury (Karen), his sister Sue Bringard (the late Paul Bringard), his son William Tewksbury, his stepson Jeremiah Spicer, nieces Mikkele Hill, Amy Tewksbury West, Angie Tewksbury Smith, Two nephews Kevin and Christian Bringard, his Ugly motor cycle club brothers and many friends worldwide. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Raymond Tewksbury Sr. and Mother Francis E. Tewksbury.
Ray had a passion for motorcycles and was an accomplished 5-time Grand National Champion. He was also an original member of UGLY Motorcycle Club and a truly talented jeweler. He loved traveling the open road.
After attending Northville High School in Michigan, Ray pursued his higher education in Architectural and Building Sciences. He served in the Navy from March 1964 to October 1967, receiving a National Defense Service Medal for his dedication and service to his country.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144. Contributions in Ray's memory can be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV.org), an organization close to his heart.
Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis, NC 28083 is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
