Obituary: Kannapolis- Pamela Fisher Cato, 61, of Kannapolis, NC passed away at home on Saturday, July 20, 2019. Born December 3, 1957 in Newton, NC, she was the daughter of Harold and Mary Ann Fisher. Pam was a 1976 graduate of Newton Conover High, received her Bachelor of Science from Wake Forest University and her Masters of Business Administration and Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. She married Ronald Cato of Pageland, SC, on December 28, 1980. Pam was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the Lord with all her heart and her church families, both at Kannapolis First Wesleyan Church and Swift Creek Baptist Church in Midlothian, VA. Pam treasured her relationships with her family and especially spending time with her granddaughter, Kira. She had a passion for planning family events and being there for them. She was a skilled planner and a meticulous and passionate keeper of the family calendars on both sides of her family, celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions. She loved to travel and see new places with her family. She especially valued the simple things in life and her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Surviving family members, in addition to her husband and parents, include her son, Brett Cato (Bae), of Santa Clara, CA; her granddaughter, Kira Cato, of Santa Clara, CA; her brothers, Randy Fisher (Cindy), of Catawba, NC, and Ricky Fisher (Scherel), of Fort Mill, SC. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Kannapolis First Wesleyan Church. Services to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Cato will begin at 3:00 PM in the church. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery.
