Above all things in her life were God, her family, and friends. Pam is survived by her husband, Jimmy F. Farmer. Pam was a loving mother and inspiration to her daughter, Courtney L. Garner of Charlotte, NC. Pam was the daughter of A. Frank Farmer of China Grove, NC. She is also survived by her stepson, Steve Farmer and family of Kannapolis, NC. She was "Pammy" to her Godson, Wade Hancock of Lincolnton, NC and to her precious Logan Farmer of Charlotte, NC. Pam also leaves behind her beloved pets, Will and Beau, several aunts and uncles, and a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara P. Farmer, and a brother, Albert Frank "Butch" Farmer, Jr. Pam was born February 2, 1955 in Mercer County, WV and raised in Kannapolis, NC. She was a 1973 graduate of A.L. Brown High School and attended UNC-Greensboro and Bowman-Gray Medical School of Cytotechnology, graduating first in her class to become a registered cytotechnologist. She began her career in healthcare at the former Cabarrus Memorial Hospital (CMC-NorthEast) in Concord, NC as a cytotechnologist. Most recently, Pam was the Manager of Diagnostic Support Services of CMC-NorthEast. She was certified in coding by the American Academy of Professional Coders and also certified in healthcare compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association. A true Southern lady with her pearls, sweet tea, monograms, and "Hey, Y'all!" Pam's favorite pastimes were sewing, Needlecraft, cooking, and serving as a member of the Woman's Club of Rock Hill. A devoted Parrothead and Charlotte 49er fan, we will miss having her with us at the Jimmy Buffett concerts and the UNC-Charlotte football games with her ingenious tailgating ideas. Her characteristic strong will and selflessness will be missed by all who knew her.
