Obituary: Pamela Dawn Minton Short, 58, of Concord died on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Carolina Health Services - NorthEast. Her death was unexpected. Her family invites friends and family to a "Celebration of Life" gathering on July 21, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Vietnam Veterans Park 760 Orphanage Rd. Concord, NC 28025. The service will begin at 10:30. Pamela was born October 25, 1959 in Yadkin Co., the daughter of the late Freddie and Ann Minton and was a long-time resident of Concord. Pamela was an out-going and free spirit, who loved the beach and music and ran a Stevie Nicks fan page on Twitter. She loved serving others and taking care of her family. Pamela was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She will be dearly missed. Those left to cherish her memories include her sons; Billy Gilbert (Stephanie) of Summerville, SC and Carter Short of Charlotte, her grandchildren; Madelyn, Liam and Colton Gilbert, her sisters; Tammy Middleton of Kannapolis, Penny Stubbs (Brian) of Monroe and Wendy Varner (Greg) of Carolina Beach as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
