Patricia Lewis Gibson

Obituary: Patricia Lewis Gibson, 74, of Kannapolis, NC died at Genesis Healthcare in Salisbury on Saturday, March 3, 2018 when she joined her husband Carson L. Gibson whom they were together in marriage for 57 years. Patricia was born on August 24, 1943 in Cabarrus Co., NC, daughter of the late J.B. Lewis and Mary Elvean Humble Ellsworth. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Gentle, and two brothers; G. Michael Lewis (Miriam) of GA and Jerry Lewis (Jearl) of VA. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Anita G. Gentle (Scott) of Landis, her son, Craig Gibson (Brooklyn) of Concord; her grandchildren; David Gentle (Stephanie) of Salisbury, Zachary Carter, Alexis Carter, Gauge Gibson and Molly Gibson and 3 great-grandchildren; Austin, Sadie and Ethan. She is also survived by a sister, Jatanna Brotherton (Larry) of Kannapolis. The service for Mrs. Gibson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home with Burial following at Carolina Memorial Park.
