Patricia Isenhour Gray

Obituary: China Grove, NC- Patricia Isenhour Gray, age 54, of 513 Park Street, died Sunday, April 19, 2009 at her home after fighting a long battle with breast cancer. She was born August 18, 1954 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Harold Eugene Isenhour and Rachael Elizabeth Lackey Isenhour. She was a 1973 graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School. She was a member of the Baptist faith. She was a gifted seamstress having made clothing for her family over many years. She enjoyed interior designing for family and friends. She also enjoyed tending a garden, traveling, and going to the beach. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family and was known for her unending energy. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Harold Eugene Isenhour, Jr. The funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Leon Hawks. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband of 36 years with whom they were best friends, Gary A. Gray; a son, Anthony Scott Gray of Miami, FL; a daughter, Sheena Gray Horne and husband, Michael Wayne of Concord, NC; two grandsons, Will Allen Horne and Austin Wayne Horne; a granddaughter, Ariel Nebraska Horne; three sisters, Priscilla Sloop of Holden Beach, NC, Jackie Smith of Salisbury, NC, and Brenda Kirk of Concord, NC.
