Patricia �Darlene� Severt

Obituary: Patricia "Darlene" Fritz Severt, 74, passed away Friday morning, May 19, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Donald Severt; and a son, Ricky Severt. Darlene was born November 1, 1942, the daughter of the late Paul and Shelton Teeter Fritz. She attended Kannapolis City Schools. Darlene was employed by Terry Products for 20 years, where she designed baby clothes, later working for CMC-Northeast, as a sterile processor. Mrs. Severt had been a longtime member of Central Baptist Church, where she had served in various capacities. She loved being a mom and homemaker, and was an excellent cook. Mrs. Severt also enjoyed camping and beach trips. She loved all of her family, as well as her church. Family members left with loving memories include her son, Scott Severt and his fiancée, Chandra Harris; of Kannapolis, grandsons Dylan Severt, of Kannapolis and Brandon Severt of Alabama; her granddaughter Sierra Severt of Harrisburg; her brothers Wayne and Terry Fritz, of Kannapolis; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Monday, May 22nd, at Central Baptist Church. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Severt will begin at 11:00 am in the church, conducted by Rev. Curtis Parker. The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Cabarrus County and to Central Baptist Church for the care, concern and love given to Mrs. Severt.
