Patricia Treece

Obituary: Kannapolis- Patricia Ann Overcash Treece, 70, passed away Monday morning, June 11, 2018, at Tucker Hospice House. Born September 12, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ottis and Pauline Carver Overcash. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Treece, and her son, Jeffrey Treece. Mrs. Treece had retired from Cannon Mills after more than 35 years of dedicated service. A member of Skyland Baptist Church, she enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, and was an avid reader. Mrs. Treece loved all of her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She also loved her dog companion, Allie. Those left with cherished memories include her daughter, Shonda Brawley (Bobby); her "adopted by love" daughter, Tammy Brawley; grandsons, Justin Ryan Brawley (Stephanie) and James Andrew Brawley; her great-grandchildren, Landon Barnhardt, and Eli and Cadence Brawley; a special cousin, Jerry Gullette, and nieces and nephews. The family will received friends Wednesday evening, June 13th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Thursday at Skyland Baptist Church. Mrs. Treece will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
